Prime Minister Narendra Modi today participated in the 300th birth anniversary celebration of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar held in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, he paid tribute to her life, her work, and her contributions to society with deep reverence.Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi said, "It is a great privilege for me to be a part of the 300th birth anniversary celebration of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar here in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh." He further stated that the ideals Ahilyabai established in administration, justice, and religion continue to inspire the nation even today.The Prime Minister offered floral tributes at Ahilyabai Holkar's statue and visited an exhibition showcasing her contributions. The event was attended by the Chief Minister, other Union Ministers, State Ministers, and a large number of dignitaries.Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar is remembered as a just and visionary ruler who gave top priority to the welfare of the poor, women, and farmers during her reign.A cultural program was also organized on the occasion, where episodes from Ahilyabai’s life were portrayed through folk dances, devotional songs, and theatrical performances.In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister urged citizens to imbibe the values of Lokmata in their lives and actively contribute to nation-building.
