Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today paid tribute to the founder
president of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, by offering
flowers at his statue in Lucknow. On this occasion, he recalled the great
contribution of Dr. Mukherjee in nation building and described him as the
visionary of 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat'.Chief
Minister Yogi said, "Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee made the supreme
sacrifice for the unity and integrity of the country. He laid the foundation of
a new political thinking in India, which is moving forward today as a
resolution of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'."
He
said that today when India is emerging as a strong nation in the world, the
thoughts and ideals of Dr. Mukherjee have become even more relevant.
The Chief Minister appealed to the youth to take inspiration from the life of Dr. Mukherjee and work in the interest of the country and play their part in building the India of his dreams. Many ministers, MLAs, and BJP workers were present in the tribute program.
At
the end of the program, the atmosphere reverberated with slogans of 'Vande
Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, referring to
incidents related to Dr. Mukherjee's life, said how he sacrificed his life
while fighting against Article 370, but never compromised on the unity and
integrity of the country.
The
Chief Minister also said that the sacrifice of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee did
not go in vain. Today, by removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, every
citizen of the country is getting equal rights and respect. This is a historic
step towards realizing the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home
Minister Amit Shah and the dreams of Dr. Mukherjee.
Yogi Adityanath
said—"Dr.
Mukherjee's life teaches us that if the resolve is firm and the purpose is to
serve the nation, then no power can stop us. Today's day reminds us that the
country comes first, and everything else comes later."
During
the program, BJP leaders also shared their views and described Dr. Mukherjee's
contribution as worthy of being written in golden letters. Also, the youth were
called upon to connect with his ideas and contribute in the service of the
country.
Through
this tribute meeting, not only was Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee honored, but
this program emerged as an inspiration, which spreads the spirit of patriotism
and service to the people.
