Tax Camp Organized at Ram Bazaar Temple, Fatehpuri – A Strong Testament to Shri Gopal Garg’s Commitment to Public Service

Fatehpuri in Delhi, especially its Cloth Market and Ram Bazaar Temple area, has always been a major hub of commercial activity. But on June 5, the region witnessed a historic and public-welfare-centric event with the organization of a special tax relief camp. This initiative was not just another administrative formality – it was a significant step taken in the interest of the people, bringing much-needed relief to the area’s business community.
The credit for this commendable initiative goes to senior BJP leader Shri Gopal Garg, who has not only played an active role in the socio-religious life of Fatehpuri over the years but has consistently prioritized the concerns of local traders. Shri Garg’s effort was neither a political stunt nor a publicity gimmick, but a grassroots-level initiative driven by a true spirit of public service.
The event was guided and supported by popular MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal, but the entire planning, coordination, and execution of the camp was handled personally by Shri Gopal Garg.
The most remarkable aspect of this camp was the complete waiver of all interest and penalties for traders who came forward to clear their pending house tax dues. This decision acted as a relief package for those traders who had long been burdened by the weight of unpaid taxes and the complex interest structures.
The relief announcement encouraged a large turnout, with people starting to arrive at the camp from 11 AM onwards. Shri Gopal Garg, who has been deeply engaged with the social, religious, and commercial life of the Fatehpuri area for decades, worked tirelessly and personally to ensure the success of this camp.
Shri Gopal Garg believes that:“If public representatives stop merely delivering speeches and start standing with the people on the ground, real change in the system becomes possible.”
This tax camp was not a political show, but a genuine attempt at public service. As the camp began, a large number of traders arrived to clear their dues, clearly reflecting their trust in the initiative.
This event proved that when a public servant works with sincerity and dedication, public trust is naturally awakened. Shri Gopal Garg’s initiative emerged as an ideal example of how a political worker – even without holding any official position – can still carry out impactful, large-scale public welfare work under a sense of social responsibility.
His efforts stand as a true testament to public service, and show that when public interest is placed above all, the outcomes are not just effective – they are exemplary.
