Bihar Chief
Minister Nitish Kumar has given a historic gift to the people of the state. Now
every domestic consumer will be given up to 125 units of electricity free every
month. This scheme will be effective from August 1, 2025, that is, the bill for
electricity used in July 2025 up to 125 units will be completely waived. This
initiative of Nitish Kumar will not only provide financial relief but will also
prove to be a big step towards energy self-sufficiency in the state.
Electricity has already reached almost all the houses in Bihar under the “Har
Ghar Bijli Yojana”. Now the Chief Minister has once again proved by announcing
free electricity that the government is continuously working in the interest of
the poor and the middle class.Who will get the benefit?:
-This scheme
will be applicable to all domestic consumers.
-Those who use
up to 125 units of electricity in a month will not need to pay the bill.
-This scheme
will prove to be a boon especially for the poor, middle class and people of
rural areas.
A big scheme
related to solar energy will also be implemented: The thinking of the Nitish
government is not limited to free electricity only. In the next three years, a
plan has also been made to install solar power plants on the roof of the houses
of every beneficiary of the state or in nearby public places.
-The state government
will bear the entire cost of the solar plant for poor families (under the Kutir
Jyoti Yojana).
-Other
domestic consumers will also be given subsidy and technical support by the
government.
Chief Minister
Nitish Kumar said in his address, "From the very beginning, we have
continuously worked towards providing electricity to all consumers at
affordable rates. Now from August 1, 2025, we are going to take another big
step and provide free electricity up to 125 units every month to all domestic
consumers." Also, we are taking important and concrete steps towards
connecting every household to solar energy. "Our aim is not just to
provide relief, but to create a self-reliant and clean energy-rich Bihar. With
this decision, Bihar will not only provide relief to energy consumers but will
also move towards self-reliance in the new and renewable energy sector. This
free electricity scheme of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is not only economically
beneficial, but it is also a concrete initiative towards green energy. This
will provide relief to lakhs of families and Bihar will emerge as an example
towards energy revolution.
