manager of the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management, has been accused of
serious harassment and indecent behavior with female students pursuing PGDM
courses at the institute. Police have registered a case under sections of the
Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Vasant Kunj police station. According to police
sources, statements were recorded from 32 female students, of which 17 accused
Swami Chaitanyananda of using abusive language, sending obscene WhatsApp/SMS
messages, and unwanted physical contact. These students are studying at the
institute under the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) scholarship.
Police seize car,
accused absconding: During the investigation, police seized Swami
Chaitanyananda's car, which had a fake diplomatic number plate. This revelation
has further complicated the case. According to the police, the accused is
currently absconding, and special teams have been formed to search for him.
Students' anger,
questions about the institute: Students reported that Swami Chaitanyananda
allegedly harassed them by abusing his position. Many students initially
hesitated to file a complaint due to fear, but collectively mustered courage
and filed a police complaint. This incident has also raised questions about the
management of Sri Sharada Institute.
Police action and
further investigation: A senior officer from Vasant Kunj police station
stated that the case is being thoroughly investigated. Police are examining
Swami Chaitanyananda's mobile records and other digital evidence. Additionally,
a separate investigation has been initiated regarding the use of the fake
diplomatic number plate.
