Working Journalist of India and DSGMC organized health camp for journalists


      New Delhi, September 6
Working Journalist of India (WJI) organized a massive health checkup camp at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, courtesy of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), keeping in mind the health of the fourth pillar of democracy, journalists and their families. On this occasion, a large number of journalists and their family members from Delhi and surrounding areas participated and got various health checkups done.
Experienced doctors from various departments including general physician, cardiologist, dentist, physiotherapy specialist provided their services in this health checkup camp. Also, various health tests like blood test, X-ray, CT scan were done free of cost, which gave the journalist community an opportunity to assess their health on time.
On this occasion, National General Secretary of Working Journalist of India Narendra Bhandari, Delhi State President Sandeep Sharma, General Secretary Devendra Tomar, Delhi Incharge Narendra Dhawan, Devendra Pawar Program Coordinator, National Advisor Surendra Verma, Ashok Dhawan, Dharmendra Bhadauria, Ish Malik, Swatantra Bhullar, Prit Pal Singh, Shravan Shukla, Lovely Sharma, Sunil Parihar, Sudhir Saluja, Sundaram ji, Laxman Indoria, Rita Mishra, Mukesh Kumar, National Journalist Federation Delhi NCR President Virendra Saini, Mukesh Madhur, National Secretary Amlesh Raju and many other officials and senior journalists were present.
Chairman of Guru Harkishan Polyclinic, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib Bhupinder Singh Bhullar said on this occasion,“Journalists are the fourth pillar of democracy. They play an important role in the society. Their health is necessary not only for journalism but also for the health of the society and the nation. Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee will always be ready for the respect and welfare of journalists.”Expressing gratitude to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, the Working Journalist of India said that in future also such health camps will be organized regularly so that the health of journalists and their families remains better and they can discharge their responsibilities without any worries. He said that due to the rush of news, journalists are not able to find time for their families. Bhupinder Singh Bhullar further said that Delhi DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka, General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon and the entire management committee always stand together for the strengthening of the fourth pillar of democracy. He said that Delhi DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka, General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon had to join this health camp but they are on a tour of Punjab for relief work of the flood victims of Punjab.
