Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the remarkable achievement of 19-year-old Devavrata – the recitation of 2000 mantras of the Shukla Yajurveda for 50 consecutive days

The sacred land of Varanasi (Kashi) has once again become the eternal light of the Vedic tradition. At the age of just 19, Devvrat Mahesh Rekhe accomplished a feat that even Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was elated to hear about. 22 hours ago, Prime Minister Modi posted from his official Twitter handle: “I am elated to know the achievement of 19-year-old Devvrat Mahesh Rekhe. His success is going to be an inspiration for our future generations.”
Devvrat Mahesh Rekhe completed the “Dandakarma Parayanam” consisting of 2000 mantras of the Madhyandina branch of the Shukla Yajurveda for 50 days continuously, without taking a single day off. It includes thousands of Vedic hymns, sacred mantras, and extremely complex pronunciations, which are considered extremely difficult to pronounce with complete purity and intonation. This practice took place on the sacred land of Kashi, which Prime Minister Modi described as "the finest form of our Guru tradition."
What did Prime Minister Modi say? In his full post, the Prime Minister wrote: "Everyone with faith in Indian culture will be pleased to know that Shri Devvrat has completed the 'Dandakarma Parayanam', consisting of 2,000 mantras of the Madhyandina branch of the Shukla Yajurveda, for 50 days without interruption. As the Member of Parliament from Kashi, I am proud that his amazing practice was completed on this sacred land."In today's era, when most youth are immersed in social media and technology, a 19-year-old boy remaining engrossed in the practice of Vedic mantras for 50 days is a miracle in itself. This achievement proves that our Vedic tradition is still alive and the younger generation is carrying it forward. Prime Minister Modi has pledged to make Kashi the cultural capital of the world. Thanks to young seekers like Devvrat, Kashi is once again becoming the largest center of Vedic knowledge and spirituality. This achievement by Devvrat Mahesh Rekhe is not just a victory for one person, but for the eternal culture of the entire Indian nation. This message from Prime Minister Modi will inspire millions of youth that our Vedic-Purana tradition is still relevant today and that adopting it brings immense energy and peace in life.
