Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel met, special discussion took place on Ayurveda, technology and disaster management

 

     Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez recently had a warm and positive meeting. This historic meeting is proving to give a new direction to bilateral relations, in which important areas like economic cooperation, technology, health, energy and Ayurveda were discussed extensively.
Prime Minister Modi described this meeting on social media as a “wonderful experience” and said that, “It was a wonderful experience to meet Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez. Many important topics were discussed in our conversation. There is immense potential in economic relations between India and Cuba. Areas like technology, health and energy can take bilateral cooperation to new heights in the future.”
The Prime Minister also mentioned that the popularity of Ayurveda is growing rapidly in Cuba, which is an indication of the global acceptance of India's traditional system of medicine. The leaders of both countries agreed to further strengthen the partnership in the field of Ayurveda.
India and Cuba also agreed to further strengthen the disaster management mechanism. Both countries resolved to prioritize joint efforts and technical exchange amid the growing challenges of climate change and natural disasters.
This meeting was not just a formal diplomatic dialogue, but also a moment to strengthen the spirit of cooperation between two friendly nations. This is being considered another important initiative in Prime Minister Modi's foreign policy, which is a big step towards uniting the Global South.
