Uttar Pradesh ,Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has once again
proved that environmental protection is not just a program, but a dedicated
campaign. Under the massive tree plantation campaign called "Ek Ped Maa Ke
Naam 2.0", Yogi ji started the campaign by planting a sapling in
Gorakhpur, the holy land of Mahayogi Guru Shri Gorakhnath ji. Yogi Adityanath
said on this occasion, "This tree plantation is not just a program, but it
is also a campaign to beautify the present and save the future." He urged
all the people of the state to participate in this green movement and plant at
least one tree in their life in the name of their mother. "Ek Ped Maa Ke
Naam" is a unique environmental initiative, in which citizens are
encouraged to plant a tree in honor of their mother. Its objective is to create
an emotional attachment towards nature and promote green consciousness in the
society. In the second edition (2.0) of this campaign, lakhs of people
participated and thousands of saplings were planted in different districts.
This initiative has established tree plantation as an emotional, social and
religious duty.Gorakhpur,
which was earlier known for floods and diseases, is now emerging as a
sustainable model city due to the strong will and green development policy of
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The tree plantation program held in the
Gorakhnath temple complex gave the message that religious places can also be
made centers of environmental awareness.
Yogi ji also
said that the government alone cannot protect the environment. Collective
public participation is necessary in this. He urged the youth, students, farmer
brothers, women and voluntary organizations to make this campaign a mass
movement.
The deep
message of the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign is that tree plantation
is not just an obligation, but an emotional attachment and social
responsibility. If every citizen takes a pledge to plant and care for a tree
every year, then we can gift a healthy, clean and safe environment to the
coming generations.
