  Banaskantha (Gujarat)
Ambaj Shaktipeeth located in Banaskantha district of Gujarat, which is one of the 51 major Shaktipeeths of the country, is considered an important center of devotion and faith. Every year on the occasion of Poonam Mela, lakhs of devotees reach here on foot to visit Mata Ambaji.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah met devotees and BJP workers on this religious pilgrimage route. He observed the service camps set up by BJP workers and appreciated the arrangements being made for the devotees there.
Amit Shah said, "May Maa Ambaji keep her blessings on everyone. It is our privilege to serve the devotees coming to the Poonam Mela."
Ambaji Temple (Confluence of Faith and Tourism): Ambaji Temple is a symbol of faith not only for Gujarat but for the entire country. Every year lakhs of devotees reach here. Seva camps hold special importance for the devotees who travel on foot during the Poorna Mela.
Service spirit of BJP workers: In these camps set up on the Yatra route, devotees are being provided cold water, food, first aid and rest facilities. Amit Shah described this effort of the workers as an ideal example of social service.
Amit Shah's visit to Ambaji Temple proved that the confluence of faith and service is the real identity of Indian culture. When devotees come to the court of Maa Ambaji with devotion and workers imbued with the spirit of social service help them, then both faith and culture are strengthened.
