Today, January 20, 2026, the
new National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shri Nitin Nabin,
arrived in Delhi and respectfully offered prayers at the Hanuman Temple
(Connaught Place) and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. He prayed before Lord Hanuman and
the Guru Granth Sahib and sought their blessings. This visit is particularly
significant because today, Shri Nitin Nabin is formally taking the oath of
office as the 12th National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party. This
historic ceremony is taking place at the BJP headquarters in the presence of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath
Singh, and other senior leaders.Political Journey: This is
Nitin Nabin, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and currently
the party's National President. First elected as an MLA from Patna West in
2006: He won the Patna West seat in a by-election following the death of his
father (former MLA Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha) and entered the Bihar
Legislative Assembly at the young age of 26.
Continuously elected as an MLA
from Bankipur (Patna) 5 times since 2010: After the delimitation, the Patna
West seat ceased to exist, and since then, he has consistently won from the
Bankipur assembly constituency in the 2010, 2015, 2020, and 2025 elections (a
total of 5 times).
Served as a minister in the Bihar
government multiple times: He held important portfolios such as Road
Construction, Urban Development & Housing, and Law & Justice. He served
as the Road Construction Minister in 2021-2022 and again in 2025, along with
other departments.
National General Secretary and
Bihar State President of BJYM (BJP Youth Wing): He played a significant role in
the BJYM, where he served as the State President of Bihar and the National
General Secretary, strengthening the organization among young workers.
Served as the National Working
President of the BJP since December 2025: On December 14, 2025, he was
appointed as the National Working President of the BJP, and in January 2026, he
was unanimously elected as the party's National President. He is the youngest
national president of the BJP (at the age of 45) and the first leader from
Bihar to hold this position. He is known for his extensive experience in the
organization, strong connect at the grassroots level, and ability to foster
coordination and harmony.

the temple and gurdwara symbolizes his faith and a positive beginning. He
sought strength from divine powers before assuming his new responsibilities,
which reflects his humility and spirit of service to the nation.
