The present moment is one of
those periods in world history when human civilization stands at the pinnacle
of unprecedented scientific progress and technological prowess. However, if
this same power is not controlled by prudence and human values, it can lead to
both development and destruction. Today, many of the world's most powerful
nations and their leaders possess power that can play a decisive role in
shaping humanity's future.History teaches us that the
true meaning of power is not dominance or instilling fear, but rather, its
proper use lies in creation, protection, and development. When power is used
with a mindset of selfishness, conflict, and dominance, it leads to war,
unrest, and imbalance. However, when that same power is used with a spirit of human
welfare, peace, and cooperation, society and the world progress toward new
progress.Today, the global community is
grappling with numerous challenges—problems like climate change, economic
inequality, cultural conflict, terrorism, and global instability pose serious
questions for humanity. In these circumstances, it is natural to expect that
world leadership should channel its energy and skills toward development and
human welfare rather than destructive schemes.
The power of public opinion
has become more influential today than ever before. Informed citizens and
global dialogue remind any center of power that the purpose of power is not
merely to rule, but to ensure the well-being of society. When the public stands
up for peace, development, and human values, the direction of power's decisions
begins to change.
In fact, the future of human
civilization depends on how we use our intelligence, talent, and resources. If
this power is used to create means of war and destruction, humanity's very
existence could be in danger. However, if this power is dedicated to education,
science, environmental protection, health, and global cooperation, it is
possible to build a balanced and prosperous world.
The leaders and intellectuals
of the world's powerful countries face a huge responsibility today. They must
understand that to prevent the destruction of humanity, their power must be
used to enrich weak and backward neighboring countries. If countries endowed
with military, economic, and intellectual power use their resources and
capabilities in a spirit of cooperation, development, and partnership,
inequality and conflict in the world can be significantly reduced.
Today, the need is for the world's influential politicians, heads of
state, and intellectuals to step forward and take concrete steps to stop
destructive ideologies and war-mongering policies. If these efforts are not
made in time, humanity could face a devastating threat that will be extremely
difficult to contain. Therefore the message of the times is clear— Human power, talent, and resources should
be dedicated not to destruction, but to epoch-making, cooperation, and the
prosperity of global humanity. This is the path to true service to humanity and
security of the future.(The author is a teacher in
