Acharya Ramprasad Shastri Inspirational icon of astrology, vastu and service

 

   Acharya Ramprasad Shastri Ji, a scholar who bridges traditional knowledge with modern needs, exemplifies a life of dedication, spiritual discipline, and ceaseless service. He is respected nationwide as an expert in astrology, Vastu, longevity analysis (Aayu Nirnay), the study of  Markesh (death-inflicting planetary influences) and incurable ailments, Mahamrityunjaya rituals (Mrit-Sanjeevani Vidya), musical Yagnas, traditional deity consecration, and the narration of  Vedas and Puranas he also specializes in remedies for spiritual afflictions (Pret-badha) and ancestral doshas (Pitri-dosh). Born into a middle-class farming family of the high-ranking Sanadhya Brahmin community (Avasthi Gotra) in Rano Diya village (Kota, Rajasthan), Shastri Ji hails from a lineage of renowned Rajgurus (royal preceptors) and Raj-Jyotishis (royal astrologers) of Rajasthan. The values ​​instilled by his father, Shri Umashankar Sharma, and mother, Smt. Kedari Bai, guided him from an early age toward the paths of scholarship, ritual practice, and service.

   Shastri Ji obtained his Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed.) degree from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, in 1987. He completed his Master’s degree in Sahitya (Sanskrit Literature) from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, in 1997. He earned the  Ayurveda Ratna title from the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Allahabad, in 1986 (Samvat*2043). He received in-depth training in astrology from Pandit Shyamnandan Mishra and Professor Ramchandra Pathak of Banaras Hindu University (BHU).He began teaching Sanskrit in 1980 and retired from the Rajasthan Education Department in 2016. He played a pivotal role in disseminating knowledge by establishing the Jyotish Vastu Anusandhan Sansthan (Astrology and Vastu Research Institute) in Etawah, Rajasthan. In 2005, at the 10th International Astrological Global Research Conference held in Puri, Odisha, Shastri Ji was honored with the "Bharat Jagannath Bhaskar" award, receiving both a gold medal and the "Indian Great Astrologer Award." The All India Astrology and Vastu Conference honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition to receiving a citation from the Sub-Divisional Office in Etawah, he was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Astrology and granted lifetime membership by the "Emerging Achievers Award Council" in recognition of his twenty-five years of rich experience in the field. Shastri Ji is India's first scholar to conduct the consecration of deities (Dev Pratishtha) and Yagnas accompanied by music. The auspicious timings (Muhurats), rituals, and Yagnas determined by him prove to be unfailingly fruitful. He conducts Vastu consultations, foundation-laying ceremonies, house-warming rituals, and the consecration of new idols for homes, factories, industries, and institutions with great efficacy.

During a recent meeting, Paramhans Dati Maharaj Ji—founder of the Shri Siddha Shaktipeeth Shanidham Trust, New Delhi—openly praised Acharya Ramprasad Shastri Ji’s scholarship, experience, and spirit of service, while also bestowing his blessings upon him. Shastri Ji himself serves as the Senior Vice President of the Trust's Kota division. He is renowned as a "Sevarthi" (devoted servant) for his selfless service towards cows, Brahmins, the poor, and saints. He also reaches the masses as a narrator of Ramkatha, Shiv Puran, Devi Bhairav ​​Katha, and Shrimad Bhagwat Katha (Moksha Yagna). Acharya Ramprasad Shastri Ji’s life demonstrates that through true knowledge, dedication, and a spirit of service, an individual not only elevates themselves but also inspires society at large.
