At the call of Shri Indresh
Kumar Ji, a *Pracharak* (full-time worker) and patron of the Rashtriya
Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the grand "30th Sindhu Darshan Yatra Kumbh"
is being organized in Leh, Ladakh, from June 22 to June 26, 2026. Ambassadors
from eight countries will participate in this prestigious event, marking a significant
effort to strengthen India's cultural and spiritual heritage on the global
stage. Senior Indian leader Dr. Vijay Jolly is coordinating the event. The
grand spiritual and cultural program, held at the Sindhu Ghat, will be
inaugurated by the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Leh-Ladakh, Shri Vinai Kumar
Saxena, on June 23, 2026, at 10:30 AM. Approximately 3,000 devotees from
various states across India will participate in the occasion. Advocate Tashi
Gyalson, Chief Executive Councilor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development
Council, will deliver the welcome address. Organized by the Ministry of
Culture, Government of India, the event will feature song, music, and dance
performances representing the diverse traditions of various Indian states. The
objective of this cultural event is to showcase India's rich and diverse
cultural heritage to the world. Shri Bhupendra Kansal, General Secretary of the
Sindhu Darshan Yatra Samiti, is conducting the proceedings. This 30th edition
of the Sindhu Darshan Yatra Kumbh is particularly significant due to the
international participation; ambassadors from eight nations will attend,
including Shri Jagannath Sami (High Commissioner of Fiji), Smt. Sheilabai
Bappoo (Mauritius), Ms. Mahishini Colonne (Sri Lanka), Prof. Anil Sooklal (South
Africa), Chandradath Singh (Trinidad and Tobago), Fernando Bucheli Vargas
(Ecuador), Juan Rolando Angulo Monsalve (Chile), and Kevin Kelly (Ireland).
These ambassadors will be accompanied by their spouses, underscoring the global
importance of the event. In a unique and historic initiative, representatives
from 156 countries will perform a *Jal-Abhishek* (ritual offering of water) to
the sacred Sindhu River. Alongside this ritual offering, a *Kalash Pujan Yatra*
(procession involving the worship of a ceremonial water pot) led by women will
also take place. This event is an endeavor to promote the Indian concept of
"Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (the world is one family) on a global scale.
Held under the leadership of Shri Indresh Kumar, this initiative serves as a
medium to foster national unity, mutual respect, and shared human values
across diverse nations and cultures. The journey not only symbolizes Hindu
religion and culture but also propagates a message of global peace, harmony,
and cooperation. The 30th Sindhu Darshan Yatra Kumbh is a remarkable effort to
raise global awareness about Indian culture, spirituality, and social values.
Its success will stand as a testament to our collective efforts and strong
bonds of global friendship, presenting India's culture and traditions to the
world in a new light.
